ClickUp connection via OAuth, workspaces and tasks sync, task assignment, AI-powered task suggestions.
ClickUp Connection
We use OAuth to securely connect with your ClickUp workspace. No API keys or developer setup is needed — you authorize EffiClose directly through ClickUp.
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Find "ClickUp" in the integrations list and click Connect
- You will be redirected to ClickUp — sign in with your ClickUp account and authorize EffiClose
- Select the workspace you want to connect (if you have access to multiple workspaces)
- Select a space and then the list where new tasks will be created
- EffiClose creates a test task in the selected list to verify that permissions are configured correctly
- The integration status will show as "Connected"
Permissions: During authorization, EffiClose receives access based on your ClickUp user permissions — no additional scopes are required. ClickUp tokens do not expire unless manually revoked — you will not need to re-authorize periodically.
Meeting Action Items to Tasks
After a meeting finishes, EffiClose extracts action items from the transcript and creates them as tasks in your connected ClickUp list.
- Task Name: The action item text becomes the task title
- Description: Additional context from the meeting, including assignee information and meeting timestamps
- Due Date: When a deadline is mentioned in the meeting, it is set as the task due date
- Priority: Task priority is mapped to ClickUp levels — Urgent, High, Normal, or Low
- Assignee: Tasks can be assigned to any member of the connected workspace
AI-Powered Task Suggestions
After a meeting, EffiClose analyzes the transcript and action items to suggest new ClickUp tasks. Suggestions include the task name, description, assignee, due date, and priority when available.
- Suggestions appear as "pending" for you to review and approve before any tasks are created in ClickUp
- Duplicate detection prevents suggesting tasks that already exist in your list
- Approved suggestions are created as tasks in your configured workspace and list
Troubleshooting
Connection issues:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration to re-authorize with ClickUp
- Ensure your ClickUp account has access to the workspace you are trying to connect
- Check that EffiClose has not been revoked in your ClickUp workspace settings under Settings → Apps
Sync errors:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration
- Verify the user account has proper permissions
- Review error messages in the integration status page
Permission issues:
- Ensure you are a member of the workspace you want to connect
- Check that your ClickUp account has access to the selected space and list
