Jira Integration

Jira connection, API configuration, tickets and projects sync, data synchronization.

Jira Connection

We use direct API integration to connect with Jira. To set up the connection, you'll need the following credentials:

  1. Navigate to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Find "Jira" in the integrations list
  3. Click "Connect" or "Set Up"
  4. Enter the required credentials:
    • Email: All Jira updates will be made using this user account
    • Domain: Your Atlassian domain (e.g., company-name.atlassian.net)
    • API Token: Your Jira API token
  5. Click "Connect" to establish the connection
  6. The integration status will show as "Connected"
Note: To generate an API token, go to Atlassian Account Settings and create a new token.

Data Synchronization

Data syncs between the platform and Jira automatically every 2 hours.

Imported Data:

We import the following Jira data:

  • Tickets: All issues from your Jira projects
  • Projects: Available projects in your Jira instance
  • Statuses: Issue status configurations
  • Work Types: Issue types (Story, Task, Bug, etc.)
  • Priorities: Issue priority levels
  • Transitions: Available workflow transitions

Troubleshooting

Connection issues:

  • Verify your Atlassian domain is correct
  • Check that the API token is valid and not expired
  • Ensure the user account has proper project access
  • Review Jira API access logs

Sync errors:

  • Disconnect and reconnect the integration
  • Verify the user account has proper permissions
  • Review error messages in the integration status page

Permission issues:

  • Ensure the user has access to the required projects
  • Check Jira project role configurations
