Linear Integration

Linear connection via OAuth, teams and issues sync, task assignment, AI-powered issue suggestions.

Linear Connection

We use OAuth to securely connect with your Linear workspace. No API keys or developer setup is needed — you authorize EffiClose directly through Linear.

  1. Navigate to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Find "Linear" in the integrations list and click Connect
  3. You will be redirected to Linear — sign in with your Linear account and authorize EffiClose
  4. Select the team where new issues will be created
  5. Optionally select a default project within that team
  6. EffiClose creates a test issue in the selected team to verify that permissions are configured correctly
  7. The integration status will show as "Connected"
Permissions: During authorization, EffiClose requests read and write access to your Linear workspace, including teams, projects, issues, and users. A refresh token is used to keep the connection active — you do not need to re-authorize periodically.

Meeting Action Items to Issues

After a meeting finishes, EffiClose extracts action items from the transcript and creates them as issues in your connected Linear team.

  • Issue Title: The action item text becomes the issue title
  • Description: Additional context from the meeting, including assignee information and meeting timestamps
  • Due Date: When a deadline is mentioned in the meeting, it is set as the issue due date
  • Priority: Issue priority is mapped to Linear levels — Urgent, High, Normal, or Low
  • Assignee: Issues can be assigned to any active member of the connected workspace
  • Project: Issues are created in your configured default project, or in the team backlog if no project is selected
  • Status: Issues are created with the configured workflow state for the selected team

AI-Powered Issue Suggestions

After a meeting, EffiClose analyzes the transcript and action items to suggest new Linear issues. Suggestions include the issue title, description, assignee, due date, and priority when available.

  • Suggestions appear as "pending" for you to review and approve before any issues are created in Linear
  • Duplicate detection prevents suggesting issues that already exist in your team
  • Approved suggestions are created as issues in your configured team and project
