monday.com Connection
We use OAuth to securely connect with your monday.com account. No API keys or developer setup is needed — you authorize EffiClose directly through monday.com.
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Find "monday.com" in the integrations list and click Connect
- You will be redirected to monday.com — sign in with your monday.com account and authorize EffiClose
- Select the board where new items will be created
- Optionally select a group within that board
- EffiClose creates a test item in the selected board to verify that permissions are configured correctly
- The integration status will show as "Connected"
Permissions: During authorization, EffiClose requests read and write access to your monday.com boards and items. monday.com tokens do not expire unless you uninstall the app — you will not need to re-authorize periodically.
Meeting Action Items to Tasks
After a meeting finishes, EffiClose extracts action items from the transcript and creates them as items on your connected monday.com board.
- Item Name: The action item text becomes the item title
- Notes: Additional context from the meeting, including assignee information and meeting timestamps
- Due Date: When a deadline is mentioned in the meeting, it is set as the item due date
- Assignee: Items can be assigned to any member of the connected board
- Board and Group: Items are created in your configured board and group, or you can specify a different board per item
AI-Powered Task Suggestions
After a meeting, EffiClose analyzes the transcript and action items to suggest new monday.com items. Suggestions include the item name, notes, assignee, and due date when available.
- Suggestions appear as "pending" for you to review and approve before any items are created in monday.com
- Duplicate detection prevents suggesting items that already exist on your board
- Approved suggestions are created as items in your configured board and group
Troubleshooting
Connection issues:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration to re-authorize with monday.com
- Ensure your monday.com account has access to the boards you are trying to connect
- Check that EffiClose has not been uninstalled in your monday.com app settings
Sync errors:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration
- Verify the user account has proper permissions
- Review error messages in the integration status page
Permission issues:
- Ensure you are a member of the boards you want to connect
- Check that your monday.com account has not had the EffiClose app removed
