Trello Integration
Trello connection via OAuth, boards and cards sync, AI-powered card suggestions, data synchronization.
Trello Connection
We use OAuth to securely connect with your Trello account. No API keys or developer setup is needed — you authorize EffiClose directly through Trello.
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Find "Trello" in the integrations list and click Connect
- You will be redirected to Trello — sign in with your Trello account and authorize EffiClose
- Select the board where new cards will be created
- Select the default list within that board
- EffiClose creates a test card in the selected list to verify that permissions are configured correctly
- The integration status will show as "Connected"
Permissions: During authorization, EffiClose requests read and write access to your Trello boards, lists, and cards. Trello tokens do not expire unless manually revoked — you will not need to re-authorize periodically.
Data Synchronization
Data syncs between the platform and Trello automatically every 12 hours.
Imported Data:
We import the following Trello data:
- Boards: All open boards accessible to your Trello account
- Lists: Lists within each synced board
- Cards: All cards from your boards
- Members: Board members and their profiles
- Labels: Label definitions from each board
AI-Powered Card Suggestions
After a meeting, EffiClose analyzes the transcript and action items to suggest new Trello cards. Suggestions include the card name, description, assignee, due date, and labels when available.
- Suggestions appear as "pending" for you to review and approve before any cards are created in Trello
- Duplicate detection prevents suggesting cards that already exist on your board
- Approved suggestions are created as cards in your configured board and list
Troubleshooting
Connection issues:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration to re-authorize with Trello
- Ensure your Trello account has access to the boards you are trying to connect
- Check that EffiClose has not been revoked in your Trello account settings
Sync errors:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration
- Verify the user account has proper permissions
- Review error messages in the integration status page
Permission issues:
- Ensure you are a member of the boards you want to sync
- Check that your Trello account has not had Power-Up access revoked
